Today was awesome. My first harp lesson ever! I AM SO AMPED! My dream finally came true. God gave me piano fingers so strings and other instruments are pretty hard for me to play, but I did pretty well. The sheet music and notation are the same for harp and piano, except for some minor differences. The theory is the same, so I'm cool there. It was so awesome. My teacher is great and very friendly and tolerant of my learning and whatnot. I love this and I am seriously gonna pursue it more.

Thanks for the comment! But if you're speaking in terms of the photography of the composition, let me just say: I am photographic illiterate! I'm a writer and a musician, and the last thing that I am is a photographer. I was just happy to be opening up my musical horizons and playing an elegant and opulent instrument such as the harp.

Starting to learn harp, eh? Very nice. I talked to harpist over the past month (I was at a month long summer program for the top musicians in the state and we had one harpist) and she says its pretty difficult. Good luck. If you ever pick up horn, let me know. :D

Yeah, harp seems pretty fitting for me after piano. Trust me, I don't see myself doing horn or any brass or woodwind instruments, but whenever and if ever I do, you'll be the very first on my list for help! :D

Just gotta remember that my pinky's should never touch the strings and that the red strings, in the key of C major, are "C's"
